If you are thinking of buying one ConferenceBike and you want to make a business out of it, think again! Don't quit your day-job! One CoBi qualifies you as the coolest guy on your block! You will make friends and influence people, but you won't make a living on 1 CoBi.
You COULD make a living if you lived in a metropolitan area and had 3 or more CoBies to rent. Please inquire about the model we are developing for that. Like the Marines, we are looking for a few good men: converts to a sharing cause. People buy our bikes simply to give and get joy.
You have to have a little Santa Claus in you to own a CoBi. Kids come running, adults are transformed into kids.
CoBi owners have come up with uses for our bikes that even we never dreamed of. Some of our favorite uses:- VOYAGE POUR LA PAIX: CoBies used by a mid-east peace organization in Paris with Palestinian and Israeli kids riding and laughing TOGETHER.
- HELEN KELLER NATIONAL CENTER and FLORIDA SCHOOL FOR DEAF AND BLIND: institutes for the deaf and blind using CoBies for recreation and as a tool to teach trust.
- GOOGLE CAMPUS: getting executives out of the boardroom and thinking outside the box. Also used as 'soft transportation', when it's too far to walk, but too near to drive: take the CoBi!
Since 1996 Eric Staller has evolved a series of 'sculptures to ride'. These are objects that are pleasing to look at and even more pleasing to ride. The first model is the 7-person ConferenceBike or CoBi, which is great for city parks, boardwalks, pedestrian malls, rail-trails, bike tours routes and city streets where traffic is already moving slowly.
The 5-person Quintette was inspired by beach cruisers and streamlined sports cars of the 1930's. It is half the weight of the CoBi and handles like a sports car, with hydraulic brakes and steering, spoked wheels and cool colors. This is a bike for the family...and its intimate face-to-face design will soon make any group feel like family! It is great for team-building and sports training; it fits in most bike paths and can climb hills.
After creating bikes for 8, 7 and 5 people Staller wanted to offer a bike that 2 people could use - the LoveBike; a romantic and whimsical ride inspired by hotrods and valentines. Like the song: "Daisy, Daisy, you'll look sweet upon the seat of this bicycle built for 2!"
